Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in Park City

If you’re anything like us, then your sweet tooth is always on the prowl. Especially after an active afternoon spent on the surrounding ski slopes and hiking trails of Park City, all we seem to want is sugar! But not to worry, because Park City is filled with spots to satisfy your sweet tooth.

In fact, here are just a few of our favorites.

Auntie Em’s Baked Goods

1351 Kearns Blvd., Unit 150, Park City

With a small-town feel and a melt-in-your-mouth taste, the baked goods at Auntie Em’s are truly incredible.

From sweet homemade pies like Strawberry-Rhubarb and Peach-Berry to savory pies like Chicken N Herb and Steak N Ale (both great for a take-home meal!) Then, indulge in a mouth-watering cookie like the Double Chocolate Peanut Butter (our favorite!) or a Toasted Oatmeal-Coconut-Pecan-Raisin Cookie… YUM!

I Love Moo

1634 Uinta Way, Park City

With some of the best ice cream that regular customers say they’ve ever tasted, I Love Moo is a popular spot in Park City. Whether you’re in the mood for an ice cream sundae, a homemade smoothie, an amazing acai bowl, or a dazzling birthday cake, I Love Moo has it all, and it’s all natural and made right here in Park City.

Stop by for a sweet treat after dinner and you’ll fall in love!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

510 Main Street, Park City

Famous all over the country for its homemade chocolate concoctions, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is more than just a sweet shop, it’s a must-see Main Street attraction. Their incredible inventory of sweet products includes “many varieties of clusters, caramels, creams, meltaways, truffles, and molded chocolates.

Individual stores prepare a variety of caramel and candy apples, fudge, chocolate items, and confections in full view of the customer using traditional cooking utensils such as copper kettles on gas-fired stoves and marble slab cooling tables.” Come by to marvel at the candy cooking before you make your purchase.

Java Cow

402 Main Street, Park City

With a menu that will satisfy any sweet tooth with ease, the Java Cow is so much more than a candy shop. Its diverse and delicious menu includes coffees, teas, smoothies, ice cream, and baked goods. We recommend starting your Park City day here by ordering a “walking waffle” that can easily be eaten on the go, or a daily made quiche or delicious ham and Swiss croissant.

Brownies, eclairs, macaroons, and croissants are available from the bake shop, and of course, beautifully brewed coffees and teas are on hand to wash it all down.

3 Ways to Spend Spring in Park City

This year, locals in Park City are pretty excited about our abundant late-season snowfall and all the amazing opportunities for skiing and snowboarding well into April… and maybe May? So if you’re like us and you love to ski underneath crystal-clear blue skies and mild temps, you’ll definitely want to check out a spring trip to come see us.

Here are three more things we love to do in spring in Park City.

Hit the Spa… Ahhh

Sure it’s tons of fun to push yourself on the slopes and experience the exhilaration of amazing downhill adventures. But after all that activity, you may be feeling a tiny bit sore or in need of some rest and relaxation. And no need to worry, Park City is chock full with tons of sensational full-service spas.

We especially love the Stretch Lab for working out all those kinks, then an afternoon at Aura Spa & Boutique indulging in a massage, facial, manicure… you name it, they offer it. So lovely.

Dine at Delicious Aprés Ski Spots

Aprés ski simply means “after ski” in French. And nothing caps off a day of epic spring skiing quite like the perfect aprés ski spot, and luckily Park City takes its after-ski activities quite seriously! There are plenty of places to slip off your snow boots and tip back a few with friends.

We especially love the No Name Saloon on historic Main Street. When the whole family is in town, this rowdy local pub also has a quieter, more family-friendly side called the Annex Burger that welcomes everyone. Order up some of their Buffalo Slider Burgers, Pork Carnitas Tacos, or a Blackened Shrimp Salad. We guarantee you’ll be back for more.

Go For an Art Gallery Stroll

When the weather starts to warm up a bit, there’s no better time to take a leisurely stroll and explore Park City’s historic and vibrant Main Street. We’re proud of the incredible selection of local art galleries and museums that make Main Street their home.

For more info, you can visit the Park City Gallery Association’s website, or check out our Moose blog that’s full of art gallery details.

Park City Homes with EV Charging Stations

To ensure a more affordable energy source while improving environmental conditions, the electrification of transportation— or “replacing internal combustion engines with electric”— is a quickly growing trend.

Park City has recently installed several convenient, complimentary charging areas around town to assist those with EVs (or Electronic Vehicles) to “fill ‘er up” with electricity when needed. They include the Brew Pub parking lot, Park City Library, Bob Wells Plaza, Park City Ice Arena, and the South parking lot at City Hall, to name a few. The city is also supplying electronic buses and bicycles for resident and visitor use.

Moose Management has also seen the advantages that these Electronic Vehicles bring to our mountain community, and has recently added the following gorgeous rental homes to our roster that include private EV charger stations for guests.

Bear Hollow 5482AB

Bear Hollow Village 5482 AB is a spacious, sprawling, three-level townhome with a classic design that’s full of luxurious extras, including the EV charging stations we mentioned. Larger groups will adore the two living areas and the ability to spread out with ease, and everyone will love the relaxing hot tub and the ideal Park City location.

This fantastic, functional home can even be broken up into 2 smaller, separate units. BHV 5482 A  is a four-bedroom/three-bathroom home with space for ten people, while BHV 5482 B is a one-bedroom/one-bathroom home with space for four people.

Black Rock Ridge 14457

This stunning four-bedroom townhouse is a perfect blend of luxury and comfort nestled. Spanning a generous 2946 square feet, this property comfortably sleeps up to eight guests, making it an ideal retreat for families, friends, or business travelers.

Located less than 10 minutes from Kimball Junction, historic Main Street, and the popular Park City Mountain Resort, Black Rock Ridge 14457 completely sidesteps the congestion and traffic of these locations, and the spacious two-car garage includes a private EV charging station.

Also, all of our Prospector Lodge condos have access to EV charging in their parking lots. How amazing is that?

Electronic Vehicle technology is a new and exciting transportation frontier, and Moose Management is thrilled to be able to offer EV vehicle drivers the means with which to charge their vehicles, easily and conveniently.

If you would like to discuss this amenity further, call or text our helpful staff at 435-714-6544.

Celebrate the Sundance Film Festival

Park City, Utah. Everyone knows it’s one of the most amazing winter vacation spots in the world. With a beautiful downtown, a cozy local community, and some of the most incredible ski and snowboarding resorts in the country, we’re definitely one of the best places to bring your family for an unforgettable winter holiday.

Then, on top of all this, Park City also plays host to the world-famous Sundance Film Festival. In 2024, the festival will be held from January 18th to 28th, and for these enchanting 10 days, the iconic Sundance Film Festival will be “the ultimate gathering of original storytellers and audiences seeking new voices and fresh perspectives.”

Their annual program includes documentary features, original dramas, fun short films, and episodic content. Since 1985, hundreds of films launched at the Festival have gone on to gain critical acclaim and reach new audiences worldwide.

There’s Nothing Like In-Person Viewing

If you’re a true film fanatic, traveling to Park City to attend the Sundance Film Festival in person is nothing short of magical. Not only will you see lots of creative and inspiring projects up close and personal, but you’ll also be able to attend tons of daily filmmaker discussions, panels, and other events.

Park City is especially welcoming to Sundance attendees, and the friendly staff at Moose Management is happy to help you find the ideal vacation rental home that will keep you close to all the action, yet still provide a comfy, quiet place to unwind at the end of each day. We can also help you with local dining recommendations and help you get around.

Online Options for Those That Can’t Get Here

The Sundance Film Festival is well aware of the fans that really want to attend, but simply can’t make it in person. Therefore, they’ve put together some very thoughtful online viewing options and separate ticket packages that can be easily accessed from their website.

Online viewing can be especially perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly option since you can purchase all kinds of packages, including all the way down to a single movie viewing for only $25.

About Sundance

Founded by Robert Redford in 1981, the Sundance Institute was created to assist independent filmmakers in sharing their unique visions with the world, and the first Sundance Film Festival played host to 10 emerging filmmakers high in the Utah mountains. This year, they boast a staff of 165 people and support more than 1,000 artists every year!

If you’re planning on attending the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, please get in touch with us at Moose Management. We would love to help.
