Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in Park City

If you’re anything like us, then your sweet tooth is always on the prowl. Especially after an active afternoon spent on the surrounding ski slopes and hiking trails of Park City, all we seem to want is sugar! But not to worry, because Park City is filled with spots to satisfy your sweet tooth.

In fact, here are just a few of our favorites.

Auntie Em’s Baked Goods

1351 Kearns Blvd., Unit 150, Park City

With a small-town feel and a melt-in-your-mouth taste, the baked goods at Auntie Em’s are truly incredible.

From sweet homemade pies like Strawberry-Rhubarb and Peach-Berry to savory pies like Chicken N Herb and Steak N Ale (both great for a take-home meal!) Then, indulge in a mouth-watering cookie like the Double Chocolate Peanut Butter (our favorite!) or a Toasted Oatmeal-Coconut-Pecan-Raisin Cookie… YUM!

I Love Moo

1634 Uinta Way, Park City

With some of the best ice cream that regular customers say they’ve ever tasted, I Love Moo is a popular spot in Park City. Whether you’re in the mood for an ice cream sundae, a homemade smoothie, an amazing acai bowl, or a dazzling birthday cake, I Love Moo has it all, and it’s all natural and made right here in Park City.

Stop by for a sweet treat after dinner and you’ll fall in love!

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

510 Main Street, Park City

Famous all over the country for its homemade chocolate concoctions, the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is more than just a sweet shop, it’s a must-see Main Street attraction. Their incredible inventory of sweet products includes “many varieties of clusters, caramels, creams, meltaways, truffles, and molded chocolates.

Individual stores prepare a variety of caramel and candy apples, fudge, chocolate items, and confections in full view of the customer using traditional cooking utensils such as copper kettles on gas-fired stoves and marble slab cooling tables.” Come by to marvel at the candy cooking before you make your purchase.

Java Cow

402 Main Street, Park City

With a menu that will satisfy any sweet tooth with ease, the Java Cow is so much more than a candy shop. Its diverse and delicious menu includes coffees, teas, smoothies, ice cream, and baked goods. We recommend starting your Park City day here by ordering a “walking waffle” that can easily be eaten on the go, or a daily made quiche or delicious ham and Swiss croissant.

Brownies, eclairs, macaroons, and croissants are available from the bake shop, and of course, beautifully brewed coffees and teas are on hand to wash it all down.

Healthy Spots to Grab a Bite in Park City

We can all agree that the holiday season is definitely a time to splurge a bit, especially when it seems like everywhere you turn there’s a plate of cookies, a gorgeous meal, or your favorite cocktail right at your fingertips. Although loads of fun and of course delicious, this decadence can also leave you feeling a bit sluggish.

That’s why we’ve put together this helpful list of some popular spots to go in Park City that serve healthy options. Here are a few of our faves:

Fairweather Natural Foods

1270 Iron Horse Drive, Park City

A locally owned community market and cafe, Fairweather Natural Foods has an extensive menu that includes healthy favorites like Avocado Toast, Raw Kale Salad, and a Curried Chicken Wrap. They also offer dozens of organic smoothies and fresh-squeezed juice combinations. So yummy!

Luna’s Kitchen

1400 Snow Creek Drive L, Park City

We love Luna’s Kitchen website claim that they’re a “healthy-ish” gluten-free kitchen and bakery, and their awesome menu that offers specialty soups, fantastic flatbread sandwiches, and a great “grab & go” case for when you’re in a rush. They also cater holiday meals, if you’re in town this year.

The Bridge Cafe and Grill

825 Main Street, Suite 201, Upper Deck, Park City

With an exceptional location that allows for beautiful outdoor patio dining in the summer and ski-in/ski-out access in the winter, The Bridge Cafe and Grill also offers mouth-watering healthy menu items. Our favorites include their fresh, flavorful Acai Bowl and their luscious Lemon Chick Quesadilla.

Still Want to Splurge?

We got you. Our go-to spot for indulging in a special-occasion holiday treat is Glitretind at the Stein Erikson Lodge in Deer Valley. Lobster Pot Pie, perfectly prepared Tenderloin steaks, and a to-die-for dessert menu that includes Creme Brulee, Baked Alaska, and Chocolate Mousse… we’ll take two!

Our 4 Favorite Spots for Coffee in Park City

With the temperatures dipping down into winter jackets and mittens temperatures, the coffee shops in Park City start filling up with locals looking for a quick pick-me-up as well as a warm mug to wrap their hands around. Lucky for us, our charming downtown is chock-full of locally owned and operated coffeehouses that sell everything from homemade smoothies to delectable lunchtime sandwiches.

Here, we share our four favorite spots for a morning cup of joe or an afternoon tea break with friends.

Come stroll and sip with us.

Atticus Coffee and Teahouse- 738 Main Street

Cozy and quirky with a lovely community-based vibe, Atticus Coffee and Teahouse is the perfect spot to spend a chilly Park City afternoon. They’re named after the stoic lawyer Atticus Finch from the novel To Kill A Mockingbird, so of course, they sell used books as well.

With a delicious menu that also offers smoothies, sandwiches, and a delectable tea selection, this coffeehouse is a local favorite.

Silver King Coffee- 1450 Snow Creek Drive

Proudly locally owned and operated since 2011, Silver King is an inviting coffee house that also uses local vendors, making for a unique Park City experience.

Besides the delectable selection of specialty espressos and lattes, we also love their Power Hour smoothie (almond milk, peanut butter, banana, oats, agave) and the Lavender Lemon Bread.

Pink Elephant Coffee Shop- 509 Main Street, Upper Level

Not only does Pink Elephant Coffee Shop brew some of the best blends in Park City, but they are also local roasters, too. They even have their very own roastery in nearby Heber City.

Founded in 2014, their downtown coffee shop is a sleek and elegant space where true coffee connoisseurs will feel right at home.

Lucky Ones Coffee- 1255 Park Avenue

An inclusive coffee shop that proudly employs and empowers people with disabilities, Lucky Ones Coffee is a local Park City favorite.

On a chilly day, this is the ideal spot to stop in for a hand-warming hot chocolate, a creamy chai latte, or a classic avocado toast. All this, plus some truly delicious mochas, espressos, lattes, and cappuccinos. SO yummy!

Great Date Night Ideas in Park City

Everyone knows that Park City is perfect for family-friendly vacations, with lots of epic hiking trails and mountain biking paths to explore. But with our spectacular mountain views, charming downtown, and twinkle lights galore, Park City is also an ideal spot for a romantic date night with your significant other.

Here are a few of our favorite spots to take that special someone for an enchanting evening.

Purple Sage

434 Main Street

Since 2003, this unique western-themed restaurant has been serving extraordinary American cuisine in the Rocky Mountain Bell telephone building in the middle of historic Main Street.

Their incredibly eclectic menu is highly seasonal, and for summer 2022, here are a few things we are absolutely loving. First, we always start with the famous Purple Sage Charcuterie Board which features a selection of decadent cheeses, smoked meats, and sausages. Then, we’ll try the gorgeous Grilled Salmon or savory Butternut Squash Ravioli. Their wine and spirits menu is seasonal as well, with plenty to pick from to complement any meal. Yum!

Egyptian Theater

328 Main Street

With live events that range from rock concerts to live comedy shows to musical theater productions, there’s something for everyone at the Egyptian Theater on Main Street in downtown Park City. This is also the perfect spot to saunter to after dinner for the classic “dinner and a show” date night combo.

Make sure to visit their website and find out which shows are playing when you’re in town, and buy your tickets well in advance.

Tupelo

1500 Kearns Boulevard

Described as a “globally inspired fine dining restaurant that honors artisanal local ingredients,” Tupelo is a truly inspired spot for a Park City date night. Not only is the food terrific, but the interior ambiance is also chic and endlessly stylish. They have recently moved their location from Main Street to Kearns Boulevard, so this date night destination is a bit off the beaten path.

For starters, we loved the Shrimp Cocktail Puttanesca with olives, peppers, shallots, and salt and benne seed crackers for dipping. Our favorite entree (so far) is the “Cacio e Pepe” that’s made with Gemelli pasta, heirloom tomatoes, local squash, and smoked parmesan. Pair anything with a sumptuous wine from their incredibly diverse wine list. Cheers!

Where to Grab a Bite in Park City

It’s January— the month of fresh starts and new beginnings. After the whirlwind that was 2020, we thought it would be nice to take a moment and update you on some of our Park City local favorite restaurants. A lot has changed over the past year— with some new places opening and some old stand-bys closing their doors.

Whether you’re a Park City newbie or you visit us every year, here’s a list of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat in 2021.

Best Pizza in Park City:  Fuego’s Bistro & Pizzeria

2001 Sidewinder Drive— 435. 645. TOGO

For pizza and family-style Italian, you can’t beat Fuego’s. They’ve been around since 2006, and they continue to come up with new menu items that are sure to delight even the pickiest of pallets.

Their wood-fired pizzas range from the classic to the outrageous. Try their house specialty Margherita— with juicy San Marzano tomatoes, gooey mozzarella, and fresh basil. Since January is National Carnivore Month, you’ll want to give their Meat Lover’s Pie a try— complete with pepperoni, sausage, and salami. Our personal favorite is the Jupiter Pie, layered with olive oil, garlic, sundried tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh tomatoes, and melty mozzarella.

The dining room at Fuego’s is now open— subject to change, of course. They offer delivery and a number of non-pizza items too, like fresh housemade pasta, salads, and sandwiches, too.

Best Burger in Park City: Draft’s Burger Bar

3000 Canyon Resorts Drive— 435. 655. 2270

Located inside the Westgate Resort, Draft’s Burger Bar has a scrumptious menu— including some of the best burgers you’ll ever have— and a to-die-for mountain view in their dining room.

Where to begin? There are so many mouthwatering choices, you might want to come back a few times to sample them all. We are partial to the I Love Garlic burger because— well, we love garlic. Grilled to medium perfection and piled high with caramelized onions, garlic aioli, sauteed mushrooms, and gooey Swiss cheese— it’s garlicky burger perfection. Fans of all things spicy will love the Ghost Burger, complete with fiery ghost pepper sauce and ghost pepper jack cheese.

Draft’s Burger Bar also has over fifty beers on tap, homemade milkshakes, and an extensive craft cocktail menu.

Park City Pro Tip: Take a quick peek inside some of our Westgate Resort condos. Here, you can immerse yourself in luxury in the heart of Canyons Ski Resort. Experience the convenience of resort living and the privacy and peace of a mountain chalet. Plus, easy access to Draft’s Burger Bar!

Best Sunday Brunch in Park City: Glitretend

7700 Stein Way— 435. 645. 6455

With an elegant dining room and stunning views of Deer Valley Resort, you’ll want to slow down and savor brunch at this exquisite Park City restaurant.

With specialty items like Bananas & Cardamom French Toast and Lingonberry & Blackberry pancakes, your whole family will flip out over this lavish and unforgettable spread. Complete with an omelet station and freshly sliced Prime Rib, the Glitretend does brunch like nowhere else in Park City.

They also offer a complete breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. Reservations are recommended.
