Your Premier Park City Property Manager

As a homeowner, your Park City property is so many things— an escape to one of your favorite places in the world, a “someday” retirement space you may daydream about, and a wise investment that you hope can help you achieve some of your financial goals.

At Moose Management, we’re Park City homeowners ourselves, so we deeply understand your connection to your space. And we’re here to tell you that placing your home in our capable hands is one of the smartest things you can do. Here are a few reasons why.

We Value Human Connection

It’s one of the ways that makes Moose Management stand out from the rest of the Park City property management companies. Simply put, we place a premium on person-to-person contact. When you call our offices, our phones are answered by our friendly, helpful staff— not a frustrating, automated phone system. Our reservation staff typically responds to all inquiries in person within 30 minutes or less as well, a practice we find keeps our booking conversion rate impressively high.

Lately, it seems like most rental agencies are trying to limit the amount of contact with their guests, which we feel can only lead to more guest complaints. At Moose Management we’re leaning in the other direction— by offering text, email, or voice contact that is simple and straightforward and making it as easy as possible for our guests and homeowners to get ahold of an actual person.

We’re proud of the fact that we have little to no staff turnover either. Our tight-knit group of knowledgeable lodging professionals is highly focused and dedicated to the success of your home and our overall company.

Our Property Maintenance is Proactive

We’re not one of those companies that wait for something to break or malfunction before we take action. Our property managers and housekeepers are all trained to be as proactive as possible in maintaining a high-quality home standard. Your home is completely cleaned and sanitized in between each guest, and our housekeeping staff handles all of the laundry as well— a huge time saver.

When something is in need of repair or replacement, our staff will handle it with efficiency and ease— so both you and your guest are pleased. And any additional in-depth maintenance issues are handled by trusted local partners, including 24-hour emergencies.

Moose Management Takes Marketing Seriously

Just the fact that we are located in a high-value tourist area seems to be enough for some local property managers— but not for us. Moose Management is highly rated on Airbnb and a premier partner with VRBO/Homeaway— two of the largest vacation rental booking sites in the world. And we market your home on dozens of sites, including FlipKey, Trip Advisor, etc.

We also strive to always show your home in its very best light— with gorgeous professional photography, careful staging and lighting, and thoughtful, well-written descriptions.

We Love Your Home Like Our Own

When your property rents well and your guests are happy— we all win. Our staff is incredibly invested in your success and satisfaction, making Moose Management the “Best in Class” property manager for Park City short-term rentals.

Besides the highlights mentioned here, there are so many more ways that we work to provide you with peace of mind and a healthy bottom line. Contact us for more info on our Moose Management property management program— we’d love to hear from you!

Top Places to Grocery Shop in Park City

We get it— grocery shopping isn’t exactly what you’re thinking about when you’re planning you’re next escape to Park City. The epic mountain views, world-class hiking trails, spectacular skiing, and charming downtown are probably at the top of your mind— as they should be! But renting a Moose Management home with a fabulous kitchen then filling that kitchen with some of your favorite pantry items will help take your Park City vacay from mundane to magnificent.

Allow us to explain.

When you book a stay at one of our fabulous vacation homes, like Newpark Terrace 53 or Three Kings 8, you’ll have plenty of room for the whole family to stay close yet have their own space. Plus, you’ll have access to a convenient full kitchen— with a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave. Your crew will love gathering together in their PJs over fresh-brewed coffee and muffins in the morning or fixing a quick snack to take on the trails. Not only will you save a ton of cash on dining out, but you’ll enjoy some more lazy together time, too.

Here are a few places we love to visit to stock up. Check ‘em out— and get planning.

The Market

1500 Snow Creek Drive, Park City

We mentioned The Market in a previous post about souvenir shopping in Park City— but it bears repeating. This place is awesome. There is so much selection here that you’ll want to take your time. Are you looking for super-fresh produce? They’ve got it. How about a premier butcher and cheese shop? Check and check. In the mood for some sushi? Pick some up here. Freshly baked loaves of bread, pre-made salads, and a bakery that sells decadent Auntie Em’s cakes and pies— they’re all here.

You’ll also want to pick up a loaf or two of Red Bicycle Bread. This local delicacy has earned the affectionate nickname of “crack bread” by Park City regulars for its rich, buttery-popcorn flavor. Definitely give it a try. They also offer delivery right to your door!

Whole Foods at Canyon Corners

6958 North Landmark Drive, Park City

The gold standard for organic chain grocery stores, Whole Foods at Canyon Corners is a Park City staple. The standard produce, butcher, baker, and frozen foods sections are well designed and organized. And their selections always include a lovely array of organic and non-toxic products. This particular Whole Foods also has a wonderful salad bar and deli with hot items available, plus a spacious seating area for eating in.

The Whole Foods app is convenient for ordering online and scheduling delivery or curbside pick-up. You can also order ready-to-eat foods too like hot pizza or fried chicken.

Fresh Market Park City

1760 Park Avenue

Although they describe themselves as “an upscale grocery with an old-world vibe” Fresh Market Park City has surprisingly affordable prices. They’re best known for their fantastic bakery, and there’s even a Starbucks inside the store for a quick pick-me-up.

A number of online reviewers also complement their great deli (try the Broccolli and Cheddar soup), extensively friendly and helpful staff, and great, upbeat music.

Planning Your Next Park City Trip

As we said at the beginning— we totally get it. Grocery shopping isn’t exactly what you’re dreaming about when you imagine your next Park City getaway. But with a quick visit to the shops to stock up, your family will love having all the comforts of home right at their fingertips.

If you need any help with choosing the right home for you, or if you have any other questions about your trip, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. We would love to hear from you!

Working and Long-Distance Learning

Last month, we talked about how working from home can now mean working from anywhere, including Park City! This month, we’re going to cover the great advantages of working and long-distance learning from a vacation rental!

working and long-distance learningThere’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Covid-19 has changed the way we all live, and probably will for a long time to come. While we in no way mean to minimize the hardships that many people have been through, we also want to talk about the ways in which our lives have expanded.

As many schools and employers have embraced the work-from-home paradigm, the fabric of our lives is changing, in ways we could never have foreseen even a scant year ago.

While many of us have chosen our place of residence based on career commitments or a good school district for our children, those physical tethers are disintegrating. Many of us are in a kind of awakening that we actually have a lot more freedom than we used to.

With that in mind, we want to underscore some of the really important reasons you should consider working and learning long-distance from a vacation rental, particularly one in Park City.

You Already Know You Love It

You’ve been coming here season after season, year after year. You’ve got your favorite trails, your favorite shops, your favorite restaurants. working and long-distance learning

While Park City may look a lot different than “home”, it’s known to you. It’s a place where you’re comfortable, you already know your way around and you already know your heart speeds up just a little bit every time you arrive.

Who wouldn’t want to work and learn long-distance from a spot you already love?

Try Out a Different Lifestyle

Tell the truth, you’ve dreamed of being a ski bum on at least one occasion, right? That’s okay, who hasn’t? While it’s probably not an option to spend every day on the slopes anymore, it is definitely possible to enjoy the lifestyle a mountain town offers. Things like close proximity to nature, a healthy outdoors lifestyle and yes, the slopes right there when time allows are all alluring features of life in the mountains.

Change is Good for the Soul

working and long-distance learningIt’s a great big world out there. Don’t let life pass by without seeing as much of it as you can. Working and long-distance learning from a vacation rental in Park City will teach you things you didn’t know about yourself and your resilience, your curiosity about life, and your environment.

Open Spaces

We enjoy lots of safe, open space here. Get outside and enjoy it!! Whether your passion is fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, skiing or snowboarding it’s all here for you in Park City! And all at an appropriate social distance.

Look Towards Relocation

If you’ve ever considered the big move of relocation, working and long-distance learning from a vacation rental in Park City will give you the best possible idea of how you would like our environs as your permanent home base.working and long-distance learning

Talk to our staff about the different areas of Park City and their unique features. We’d love to help!

Last, but by no means least, wouldn’t you rather wake up to the sight of our magnificent mountains than your neighbor’s driveway? Just sayin’…

We hope to see you soon!

Work From Home in Park City

We Welcome You to Work from Home in Park City

So many things have changed in the last 6 months. Who would have ever believed face mask fashion and working from home would become “things”?

There’s no doubt that the Coronavirus has had a profound impact on all of our lives. It has affected the way we interact with the world, from the way we shop to the way we exercise to the way we hang out with our friends and family. It’s created a whole new world and it takes some getting used to, right?

It’s hard to see a silver lining in all of this, but there is one. And that’s that there are now more remote workers than ever before. More and more employers are jumping on the “work from home” bandwagon and location freedom has become a real thing for many employees.

In times past, the only people lucky enough to work from home were self-employed. The trade-off was the instability of self-employment.

Now, remote workers get the best of both worlds. The ability to work in their pajamas, and not have to endure endless meetings AND have a steady paycheck and benefits.

What could be better?

Ummm,  a change of pace, maybe?

Upgrade Your Views While Working from Home

That’s where we come in! Everyone is feeling a little stir-crazy after months of stay-at-home orders and endless Amazon boxes delivered to our doors. And staring at the same walls around our makeshift home offices can get, well, boring.

Since you can now work from anywhere, why would you not want to work in Park City? While there are some safety measures in place (face coverings and social distancing are important here), many of the things you’ve always loved about Park City are open and available for your enjoyment!

Plenty of Activities in Your Off Time

All of our 400 miles of open hiking and mountain biking trails are open. Just be safe and courteous to fellow hikers and bikers. Need a trail guide or outfitter? No problem, they’re open for business. Check out this list of available outdoor activities.

Looking to hit the slopes in your downtime? Good news – the resorts are open. Since Social distancing is pretty much already built in to skiing, not much has changed, but check with each individual resort as a precaution.

How about a romantic dinner or a kid-friendly night out? Check. While restaurants have altered their seating practices (parties must be seated at least 6’ apart), many of your favorites are open for inhouse dining. And of course, if take-out or curbside is more your jam, that’s available, too.

If you’d like to pamper yourself or a loved one with a spa day, you can make it happen with the appropriate social distancing.

Looking to stay out of the fresh mountain air for a few hours? Some of our wonderful arts and culture venues have reopened for our guests and locals.

You’re Safe with Us While You Work from Home

All of our vacation rental properties offer you the safety and security of your own private space, CDC-guidelines cleaning, WiFi, and the comfort of a home-like atmosphere while you’re working from home! A view of those mountain peaks, whether inside or out, is always inspiring!

You and your dedicated quaranteam deserve the adventure of a Park City work (or play) vacation! We look forward to providing you with a treasured family memory!
