5 Spots to Take Your Sweetheart This Valentine’s Day in Park City

Most people know that Utah has “The Greatest Snow on Earth”. But once February arrives in Park City, our famous “Utah Powder” starts mixing with all the romance in the air.

Whether your perfect date night includes scenic mountain views or a mouth-watering meal, we’ve got you covered. Here are 5 activities we recommend for a memorable Valentine’s Day in Park City.

Ice Skating at the Resort Center Ice Skating Rink

Trying to keep your balance while gliding across a frozen rink can be hilarious. But it’s also a great excuse to cozy up close to that special someone. And what’s better than a day filled with laughter and romance?

A variety of shops and restaurants surround The Resort Center Ice Skating Rink, making it an ideal choice for a fun day out (before a romantic evening in).

Dinner at Cafe Terigo

After a long day on the slopes, warm your bodies and fill your bellies with a meal at Cafe Terigo. The mouth-watering French and Northern Italian cuisine make it a Park City favorite. And the charming brickwork and unique decor promise an enchanting evening for all.

A Hot Air Balloon Ride With Bigfoot Balloons

For a Valentine’s Day that you’ll be talking about for years to come, book a hot air balloon ride with Bigfoot Balloons. As you soar high above the city with your sweetheart, you’ll take in breathtaking views of the city below.

These spectacular journeys take place at sunrise, so be warned if you aren’t an early riser. But in our opinion, this is one experience worth losing sleep over.

Couples Massage at Align Spa

For a low-key Valentine’s Day where you and your partner can relax and unwind, book a couple’s massage at Align Spa.

The Love Package is a 2-hour experience that begins with a massage and ends with a hair and scalp treatment. This is especially soothing for those feeling sore from winter sports activities.

Sleigh Ride and Dinner at The Viking Yurt

It all starts with a 23-minute, Snowcat pulled sleigh ride 1,800ft up the side of a mountain.  In other words — it’s a journey you’ll never forget.

Weatherproof blankets keep you warm and cozy as you travel past snow-capped trees and observe the twinkling city lights.

Your final destination is the Viking Yurt, where you’ll spend the rest of the night dining on a six-course meal. Surrounded by glowing candles and live piano music, you’ll fall in love all over again.

We Love to Play Cupid

No matter how you choose to spend Valentine’s Day in Park City, having the perfect Love Nest to come back to at the end of the day is a must.

Here at Moose Management, it’s our goal to help you find the perfect vacation rental home to complement your romantic Park City getaway. Give us a call at 435-714-6544 to start planning your fairytale adventure today.

Three New Things to Try in Park City in the New Year

It’s that time of year when we all start making new year’s resolutions, and— let’s be honest— they’re usually not very exciting. Eat better, get more exercise, quit a bad habit… sure, all of these are great ideas. But this year, how about adding a bit of fun to your “to-do” list?

Here in Park City, there are always plenty of new things to try and new places to explore. So once you’ve slipped out of skis or your snowboard, why not try something completely different in 2023? Here are three of our favorite off-the-beaten-path winter adventures in Park City, plus a bonus look at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival.

Dog Sledding

If your idea of a great day involves spending it with a furry, four-legged friend, then an exhilarating day of dog sledding will be right up your alley. Rancho Luna Lobos is an award-winning kennel located just 15 minutes outside of Park City.

With impressive packs that include Iditirod-trained dogs and rescue dogs, you’ll be in good hands with this family-owned and operated business. An afternoon spent exploring the trails behind an athletic pack of perfectly trained canines is completely exhilarating and utterly unforgettable. Trust us, you’ll be talking about it for months after you’ve completed your breathtaking tour!

Snowshoeing

Great for beginners and experts alike, snowshoeing in Park City requires absolutely no experience and can be enjoyed by any skill level. With fully guided private tours that last anywhere from two to four hours, you’ll experience the majestic Rocky Mountain beauty like never before while also getting in a great workout.

Snowshoes allow you to explore terrain that would normally be off-limits to normal hikers, plus you’ll get to see some truly magnificent views and scenery. Check out Destination Sports to schedule your tour.

Tubing

Looking for an activity that’s easy, laid-back, and just plain fun? Then you’ll want to take the whole family on a tubing trip. Like traditional hillside sledding except on a more comfortable, inflated inner tube, most Park City tubing sites even have lifts to take you back up the hillside— so you get all the fun with minimal effort. Sounds good to us!

As you can guess, tubing is ideal for kids of all ages, and some of the hillsides are even lighted, making tubing a perfect nighttime adventure for the whole family! Check out Woodward Park City to purchase tickets.

Bonus: Don’t Forget About Sundance!

This year, the world-famous Sundance Film Festival will be held in Park City from January 19 to January 29. For ten days, our town is taken over by some of the world’s most gifted storytellers, for a showcase of amazing motion pictures and documentaries. This is the first time the festival is happening in person since 2019, so you don’t want to miss the excitement!

Our 3 Favorite Spots to Ski in Park City

Park City, Utah is known for a lot of things. Beautiful scenery, delicious dining, an idyllic, historic downtown, gorgeous hiking trails— and of course, skiing!

There’s a reason that the 2002 Winter Olympics were held here, and it has a lot to do with the endless inventory of ski trails and the perfection of the powder that we’re blessed with every winter.

With over 10,000 skiable acres— including the largest ski resort in the US (Park City Mountain)— and runs for every age and skill level, there’s a trail for everyone to ski in Park City, Utah.

Here are our three favorite spots to get your glide on, in no particular order.

Canyons Village

When you arrive in Park City from the Salt Lake City, Utah airport, this welcoming and laid-back ski resort is the first base area you come to. With lots of ski shops and schools in the courtyard, Canyons Village is your all-in-one shop for all you need to hit the slopes— with lots of style and confidence.

There’s also the Orange Bubble Express— an enclosed, fully heated chairlift that you have to take for a spin while you’re here. You’ll also want to grab some lunch or dinner at The Farm, the award-winning restaurant in Canyons Village that only serves the freshest farm-to-table fare.

Visit their website to learn more and to make reservations.

Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley is famous for its exceptional customer service— and you’ll notice it from the moment you arrive. From the delightful barista brewing your pre-ski cup of joe to the friendly ski valets and lift attendants, Deer Valley is such a lovely place to spend the day.

They also boast a more extensive inventory of beginner terrain than other Park City ski resorts, so if you’re new to skiing and snowboarding you’re sure to feel right at home. Then when you’ve improved to expert level— there are black diamond runs to try as well.

Deer Valley Resort has always limited the number of ski passes they sell so that their slopes are never too crowded. So you’ll want to visit their website to purchase your passes and ski rentals.

Park City Mountain

If you’re a snowboarder, fewer spots can match the epic terrain at Park City Mountain. With dozens of pipes and half-pipes, you’ll find a jaw-dropping array of freestyle terrain to try out.

And if you’re looking for more classic ski runs, Park City Mountain has some of the best slopes and moguls in the world. The sheer variety of options is endless— so everyone in your group, from experts to amateurs, will have a great time.

Check out their website for more information and to make reservations.
