Have a Sensational Park City Summer

ADVANCED SEARCH

We’ve got a great idea.

Instead of running to the beach this summer to escape those sweltering temps, why not head to the mountains instead? Gorgeous ski towns like Park City are known to become even more vibrant and charming once the snow melts, boasting miles of hiking and biking trails lined with colorful wildflowers and leading to sparkling mountain lakes.

With low humidity and comfortable temperatures, our entire Park City and the surrounding areas become spots for sweet relief during summer’s peak. Come with us while we let you in on a few of our favorite things to do and places to stay in Park City for summer 2024.

Adrenaline Adventures

Our legendary Utah Olympic Park is an incredible winter ski and snowboard destination that blossoms into the perfect destination for those seeking an adrenaline boost in the warmer months. With tons of exciting activities like zip lining, ropes courses, extreme tubing, and drop towers, you’re certain to get your heart rate racing here.

Marvelous Mountain Biking

As we shared in last month’s blog post, our Park City mountain biking is simply amazing. As everyone knows, world-class ski destinations like Park City are known to be epic mountain biking meccas during the warmer months. Once the snow melts and the trails clear out, there are miles and miles of gorgeous paths winding through the untouched mountain forest.

A Wonderful Water Park

Rainbow Bay Aqua Park is another fun summer-only spot that is absolutely perfect for the whole family. Located in the beautiful Deer Creek Reservoir, there are all sorts of aqua adventures to try, like kayaks, paddle boards, tubes, and a whole course of inflatable slides.

Fantastic Fly Fishing

Home to two of the “fishiest” rivers in the Rocky Mountains, the Weber River and the Provo River, Park City has lots of opportunities for you to try your hand at catching “the big one” for dinner. Then, you can take your delicious catch home to your Moose Management vacation rental home and fire it up on the grill. Park City Fly Fishing Guides is one of our favorite places to schedule a day of fly fishing while you’re in town.

Heavenly Hiking Trails

Once the temps warm up, it’s time to slip out of your skis and into a pair of hiking boots. Our rugged mountain terrain has some of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world. The Jennis Trail is a newer trail that begins at the Park City Mountain Resort and ascends about 1,400 feet up to give you some truly spectacular views. The trail is about 5 miles one way and since it’s sort of new it’s also wide and flat and well-maintained. Our advice? Bring a sack lunch and make a day of it!

Excellent Horseback Riding

Giddyup! It’s hard to improve upon the breathtaking views that Park City offers at every turn, but somehow seeing those vistas from horseback just makes them that much more special. One of our favorite stables is called Wind In Your Hair Riding— honestly, how can you beat that name? They have guided trail tours for experienced riders and lessons for beginners.

Stay and Play in Park City

If you’re searching for the ideal place to call home for your summertime adventure in Park City— we recommend Prospector Condos. Perfectly located in the downtown Park City Prospector area, you’ll be close to all the shops and restaurants, plus you’ll be just steps away from the Rail Trail for hiking and mountain biking. There’s even a pool and hot tub for soaking up the warm summer weather in style.
