Magnificent Mountain Biking in Park City

ADVANCED SEARCH

World-class ski destinations like Park City are also known to be epic mountain biking meccas during the warmer months. Once the snow melts and the trails clear out, there are miles and miles of gorgeous paths winding through the untouched mountain forest.

Boasting plenty of space so there are little to no crowds, plus lots of opportunities to pull off for a lunch break into a peaceful spot that’s filled with wildflowers and birdsong, our premier mountain biking trails are nothing short of magnificent.

Here are a few of our all-time favorites. And make sure to check out our Biking & Hiking page for even more info.

Armstrong & Pinecone Ridge Trails

This beautiful ride begins at the Silver Star chair lift area on Park City Mountain. We recommend driving or taking the bus to the lift area. Then from there, you can climb the Armstrong trail for a little over two miles. At the top of the trail, you’ll take a left to connect to the Pinecone Ridge trail and climb some more— for a little over 4 miles. Once you reach the top, you’ll be at 9,800 feet! Here, we recommend enjoying a nice break and taking in the beauty of the magnificent views.

With nearly six miles of steady climbing, this path is not for beginners— but it sure is worth the effort!

Kamas Valley

If you’re up for a short drive, the Kamas Valley mountain biking is extraordinary— and great for beginners. About a 20-minute drive from Park City, this lovely valley is filled with easy-to-moderate trails that have amazing ridge views. The trailhead is just north of High Star Ranch, and you can also stop here on your way out for a delicious lunch or snack.

With over 20 miles of flowing trails that are filled with flowers and wildlife, this is a perfect spot to make a day of mountain biking.

An Easy Family Loop

Just across the street from the famous McPolin Barn & Farm is a paved trail that turns into gravel and follows a serene mountain stream. Along the way, you’ll pass by a fun playground with restrooms, a dog park, a wood bridge, a classic barn, and even a charming shopping center with a Cold Stone Creamery.

With many places to stop and explore, this is an ideal path to take the whole family and explore the area.
