ADVANCED SEARCH

Are social distancing and pandemic precautions putting a damper on your holiday spirits? There’s no doubt that this holiday season will be a bit different than in years past. This year, why not turn tradition on its head too, and head to Park City for the holiday season?

There are few places more magical or filled with winter wonderland delights— even now. So pack up your most festive facemasks, enjoy our world-class ski slopes and winter activities, and check out some of these exciting holiday events.

Stroll with Santa through the Snow Globes

Historic downtown Park City is always a can’t-miss activity— especially around the holidays. Charming and festive, you’ll love strolling through the shops and cafes. From November 28, 2020, to January 3, 2021, nine interactive and life-sized snow globes will be placed around the city streets, delighting visitors and children of all ages.

Then, from 2-6 PM every day from November 28 to December 12, Santa Clause and his elves will stroll the city streets to spread Christmas cheer, and maybe finalize his naughty and nice list. Visitors to the Snow Globe Stroll and those wanting to chat with Santa Clause are encouraged to wear face masks and practice pro-active social distancing.

Hop on a Park City Sleigh Ride

Nothing captures the cozy magic of the Christmas season quite like a horse-drawn carriage ride through the snow. Classic and charming, the sleighs are pulled down Willow Draw by friendly horses decked out in their holiday finest.

You’re encouraged to dress warmly— and wear a mask— for the 25-minute ride, but comfy blankets are provided, too. Enjoy the enchanting winter wonderland sites and the lovely sounds of the sleighbells. It’s a magical experience your family will never forget.

Become a Hot Chocolate Connoisseur

Hot cocoa and the holidays go hand in hand. This holiday season, make it your family’s mission to find your favorite hot cocoa in Park City.

We recommend you start out at Atticus Coffee and Tea— a coffeehouse and old-fashioned bookstore on Main Street. The red velvet hot chocolate is a local favorite, and they also have a wide selection of teas, smoothies, and light bites.
