Right around this time every year, most people start dreaming of springtime… flowers, warm weather, and sunshine. But we must admit, this year we’re pretty excited about our abundant spring snowfall and all the amazing opportunities for skiing and snowboarding well into March and April.

Here are a few more things we’re looking forward to this spring in Park City.

Amazing Aprés Ski Opporunities

Nothing caps off a day of epic skiing and snowboarding quite like the perfect aprés ski, and luckily Park City takes its after-ski cocktails and nibbles quite seriously! There are plenty of places to slip off your snow boots and tip back a few pints with friends.

We especially love the No Name Saloon on historic Main Street. (This raucous local pub even has a quieter, more family-friendly side called the Annex Burger if that’s more your speed.) We are absolutely gaga over their Stab N Grab Tater Tots, Buffalo Slider Burgers, and amazing Bloody Marys. Make sure to stop into this hoppin’ pub and experience the reason why this is “the bar that made Park City famous.”

Crash Into the Cardboard Sled Derby

If you’re in town on March 4, 2023, then you simply must join the Park City Recreation team for their very first annual Cardboard Sled Derby! This inaugural, uber-creative derby will be a ton of fun plus have a host of awesome prizes for stuff like the furthest distance sled, the best wipe-out, the most creative, and of course the fastest.

Participants will build their own cardboard sled using ONLY cardboard, duct tape, string or twine, and paint (silly decorations encouraged!).

Go For a Gallery Stroll

Park City’s historic and vibrant Main Street is a treasure trove of local art galleries and museums. And there’s no better time to explore this exciting side of Park City than in the springtime.

In fact, the Park City Gallery Associations even hosts a Final Friday gallery stroll on the last Friday of every month— a totally free and fun event that’s the perfect way to spend an evening out on the town. Visit their website for more info.

We All Scream for Ice Cream!

With the weather warming up just a smidge, why not use that as a perfectly acceptable excuse to eat more ice cream? (As if we needed a reason!)

Our personal favorite spots include the unique and memorable Java Cow Cafe and Bakery, or the always-popular Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
