Autumn 2021 Events in Park City

It’s hard to believe, but the summer season is nearly over. The warm, muggy days are almost behind us, and crisper, fall temps are right around the corner. September and October are two of our favorite months in Park City— and not just because we get to break out the fleece and sip on a mug of hot cocoa amidst the falling leaves. Park City celebrates autumn with an impressive lineup of festivals and events.

If you’re thinking about visiting Park City but don’t want to commit to full-blown winter temps, the next few months are the perfect time to experience the city during one of the most beautiful times of the year. Here are two events we’re looking forward to this fall in Park City.

Park City Song Summit
September 8 to September 12, 2021

The Park City Song Summit wants to make sure you know that it is not a music festival. The founders of the summit describe it as “an environment for musicians to share, learn, and recharge their passion for music through community and the power of song.” Throughout the week, attendees can experience unplugged performances and labs that are like master classes in songwriting.

The summit will be an energetic and exciting place to be— with live music being played not only in the amphitheater but all around town in local bars, on the street, and surprise performances in both small and large scale venues. Purchase your summit tickets here.

Park City Wine Festival
September 30 to October 3, 2021

Filled with over 100 vendors, the Park City Wine Festival is a feast for the senses. Local Park City restaurants are represented, along with wineries, distilleries, and craft breweries. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a hardcore foodie or wine connoisseur to enjoy this gorgeous event. You can simply purchase your tickets and spend a lovely afternoon wandering through the festival, savoring and sampling the local delicacies.

Vino aficionados will rejoice at the world-class selection of wines from all over the globe— including Italy, France, and Argentina— as well as a huge array of wines from around the US. Tickets range from $85 to $249 per person, and you can pre-purchase your event tickets here.

With space for up to eight people and gorgeous, open views, this exquisite home is the ideal home base for enjoying the festivals and the fall beauty.

If you need a bit more space for your autumn Park City escape, take a look inside Wasatch Springs 1123— a sprawling four-bedroom home with room for 14 people. A sleek, contemporary interior creates the perfect space to unwind after a day of adventure and exploring.

At Moose Management, our mission is to provide safe, comfortable, beautiful homes for our guests to experience Park City. Top Places to Grocery Shop in Park City

We get it— grocery shopping isn’t exactly what you’re thinking about when you’re planning you’re next escape to Park City. The epic mountain views, world-class hiking trails, spectacular skiing, and charming downtown are probably at the top of your mind— as they should be! But renting a Moose Management home with a fabulous kitchen then filling that kitchen with some of your favorite pantry items will help take your Park City vacay from mundane to magnificent.

Allow us to explain.

When you book a stay at one of our fabulous vacation homes, like Newpark Terrace 53 or Three Kings 8, you’ll have plenty of room for the whole family to stay close yet have their own space. Plus, you’ll have access to a convenient full kitchen— with a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and microwave. Your crew will love gathering together in their PJs over fresh-brewed coffee and muffins in the morning or fixing a quick snack to take on the trails. Not only will you save a ton of cash on dining out, but you’ll enjoy some more lazy together time, too.

Here are a few places we love to visit to stock up. Check ‘em out— and get planning.

The Market

1500 Snow Creek Drive, Park City

We mentioned The Market in a previous post about souvenir shopping in Park City— but it bears repeating. This place is awesome. There is so much selection here that you’ll want to take your time. Are you looking for super-fresh produce? They’ve got it. How about a premier butcher and cheese shop? Check and check. In the mood for some sushi? Pick some up here. Freshly baked loaves of bread, pre-made salads, and a bakery that sells decadent Auntie Em’s cakes and pies— they’re all here.

You’ll also want to pick up a loaf or two of Red Bicycle Bread. This local delicacy has earned the affectionate nickname of “crack bread” by Park City regulars for its rich, buttery-popcorn flavor. Definitely give it a try. They also offer delivery right to your door!

Whole Foods at Canyon Corners

6958 North Landmark Drive, Park City

The gold standard for organic chain grocery stores, Whole Foods at Canyon Corners is a Park City staple. The standard produce, butcher, baker, and frozen foods sections are well designed and organized. And their selections always include a lovely array of organic and non-toxic products. This particular Whole Foods also has a wonderful salad bar and deli with hot items available, plus a spacious seating area for eating in.

The Whole Foods app is convenient for ordering online and scheduling delivery or curbside pick-up. You can also order ready-to-eat foods too like hot pizza or fried chicken.

Fresh Market Park City

1760 Park Avenue

Although they describe themselves as “an upscale grocery with an old-world vibe” Fresh Market Park City has surprisingly affordable prices. They’re best known for their fantastic bakery, and there’s even a Starbucks inside the store for a quick pick-me-up.

A number of online reviewers also complement their great deli (try the Broccolli and Cheddar soup), extensively friendly and helpful staff, and great, upbeat music.

Planning Your Next Park City Trip

As we said at the beginning— we totally get it. Grocery shopping isn’t exactly what you’re dreaming about when you imagine your next Park City getaway. But with a quick visit to the shops to stock up, your family will love having all the comforts of home right at their fingertips.

If you need any help with choosing the right home for you, or if you have any other questions about your trip, please don’t hesitate to call or email us. We would love to hear from you!

July 4th and Pioneer Days 2021 in Park City

Although our July celebrations will be a bit skewed this year due to Covid-19, we’re still planning on celebrating our summer 2021 holidays in style. Many of our summertime celebrations were canceled completely last year due to concerns about the coronavirus, so we’re excited to have any events at all this year. And we’re more than ready to make adjustments in order to stay safe and healthy.

Here are a few things we’re psyched about for summer 2021.

4th of July Parade— On the 2nd

Instead of canceling the parade altogether like last year, city officials decided to move it to Friday, July 2nd. They’re hoping that not having the parade on the 4th will limit the number of spectators and therefore be a bit safer for everyone. Normally, Park City is the most popular spot to celebrate July 4th in the state— starting with a parade and ending with fireworks. But this year, the parade will be on the 2nd with the fireworks scheduled for the 3rd.

The parade will follow the traditional route through Main Street to City Park and is set to start at 5 PM on Friday, July 2, 2021.

Independence Day Fireworks— On July 3rd

The fireworks will also be moved in an effort to keep the crowds from being too large. This year, the fireworks will be launched on July 3rd, which is the same day as the Canyons Village fireworks display. City officials are hopeful that this will break up one giant crowd into two smaller crowds— which will be safer and easier to maintain social distancing guidelines.

The Independence Day fireworks display is scheduled to go off at 9 PM on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Park City Mountain.

Take a look inside Prospector Condos 731— a gorgeous, private home with space for 5 and availability for the July 4th weekend.

Pioneer Day— On July 24th

A popular state holiday in Utah, Pioneer Day is often synonymous with summertime. Pioneer Day celebrates the arrival of Brigham Young and the first Mormon settlers to the Salt Lake Valley. Locals celebrate this event with fireworks and parades throughout the state, and state offices and banks are closed.

Although Pioneer Day is celebrated by everyone in Utah, it obviously has particular relevance to the Mormon community, and Salt Lake City has a ton of events and celebrations to enjoy.

Our Stillwater 3068-70 is a stunning, one-bedroom Stillwater Resort home with tons of luxury amenities and availability for Pioneer Day week.

Sizzling Summertime Fun in Park City

There’s no doubt that Park City is synonymous with epic, winter-time fun. Our ski slopes are legendary and our snow-capped mountain vistas are stunning. But don’t let that wintery reputation fool you— summertime in Park City is nothing short of extraordinary. From hiking to paddleboarding to golf— as the temperatures heat up and the snow melts away, there’s a little something for everyone to explore.

Here are a few things we’re looking forward to this summer in Park City.

Park Silly Sunday Market
780 Main Street

Re-opening for the season on June 6, this popular, eco-friendly open-air market is a must-see, family-friendly event during the summer. The market features live music, tons of eclectic arts & crafts vendors, fresh local produce, and lots of gourmet food to sample and purchase. There’s also an awesome beer garden and an amazing bloody mary bar. The Park Silly Sunday Market is a delicious, entertaining Sunday treat for the whole fam.

This year, due to popular demand, there will also be a Park Silly Saturday Market— held the third Saturday of the month beginning May 15th— at the Shops at South Town.

Take a look inside our Prospector Condos that will put you about a five-minute drive from the Park Silly Sunday Market and all the dining and shopping in the historic downtown district.

Kimball Arts Festival
Historic Main Street

Calling all artists! The Kimball Arts Festival is one of the top-rated art festivals in the country. Held from August 6 to August 8, 2021, this three-day celebration of the arts is a dynamic, exciting event that’s also a massive fundraiser for the Kimball Arts Center. Featuring food trucks and tasting tents, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities to sample some delicious local delicacies, too.

With more than 200 professional artists showcasing their amazing talents, the festival is a feast for the senses and the soul. Peruse expert potters, stunning painters, and everything in between.

Our Carriage House Condo has space for 4 and will put you minutes away from this can’t-miss annual event.

Egyptian Theater
328 Main Street

Although this majestic theater— like many across the country— was forced to close in 2020 for the pandemic, we are so thrilled to learn that they are reopening this year with a full roster of crowd-pleasing live shows. Opened on Christmas Day in 1926, the Egyptian Theater has been a cultural landmark for the Park City community ever since.

This summer, the glorious, historic theater will host a youth summer camp and the Park City Follies. Many more shows will be announced as the summer progresses, so visit their website and be sure to sign up for their newsletter to stay up-to-date on upcoming shows.

Escape to Park City This Summer

When you’re not attending these fun festivals or spending the evening at the newly-opened theater, Park City is filled to the brim with exciting outdoor activities in the summertime. Get out on the water with Park City SUP, take a hike on some of the most breathtaking trails you’ll ever see, or practice your swing at the Park City Golf Club.

The Market at Park City

Technically a grocery store, The Market is a great resource for picking up local souvenirs, too. Their selection of produce, meats, cheeses, breads, and snacks is unparalleled. The store is also bright, clean, well-organized, and simply a joy to shop at.

Try Auntie Em’s baked goods— a local purveyor of small-batch pies and cookies that are out of this world. Their bakery also carries Red Bicycle Bread. You’ll want to try their thin-sliced loaves that the locals affectionately call “crack bread” for its irresistible buttery-popcorn flavor.
