Your Premier Park City Property Manager

As a homeowner, your Park City property is so many things— an escape to one of your favorite places in the world, a “someday” retirement space you may daydream about, and a wise investment that you hope can help you achieve some of your financial goals.

At Moose Management, we’re Park City homeowners ourselves, so we deeply understand your connection to your space. And we’re here to tell you that placing your home in our capable hands is one of the smartest things you can do. Here are a few reasons why.

We Value Human Connection

It’s one of the ways that makes Moose Management stand out from the rest of the Park City property management companies. Simply put, we place a premium on person-to-person contact. When you call our offices, our phones are answered by our friendly, helpful staff— not a frustrating, automated phone system. Our reservation staff typically responds to all inquiries in person within 30 minutes or less as well, a practice we find keeps our booking conversion rate impressively high.

Lately, it seems like most rental agencies are trying to limit the amount of contact with their guests, which we feel can only lead to more guest complaints. At Moose Management we’re leaning in the other direction— by offering text, email, or voice contact that is simple and straightforward and making it as easy as possible for our guests and homeowners to get ahold of an actual person.

We’re proud of the fact that we have little to no staff turnover either. Our tight-knit group of knowledgeable lodging professionals is highly focused and dedicated to the success of your home and our overall company.

Our Property Maintenance is Proactive

We’re not one of those companies that wait for something to break or malfunction before we take action. Our property managers and housekeepers are all trained to be as proactive as possible in maintaining a high-quality home standard. Your home is completely cleaned and sanitized in between each guest, and our housekeeping staff handles all of the laundry as well— a huge time saver.

When something is in need of repair or replacement, our staff will handle it with efficiency and ease— so both you and your guest are pleased. And any additional in-depth maintenance issues are handled by trusted local partners, including 24-hour emergencies.

Moose Management Takes Marketing Seriously

Just the fact that we are located in a high-value tourist area seems to be enough for some local property managers— but not for us. Moose Management is highly rated on Airbnb and a premier partner with VRBO/Homeaway— two of the largest vacation rental booking sites in the world. And we market your home on dozens of sites, including FlipKey, Trip Advisor, etc.

We also strive to always show your home in its very best light— with gorgeous professional photography, careful staging and lighting, and thoughtful, well-written descriptions.

We Love Your Home Like Our Own

When your property rents well and your guests are happy— we all win. Our staff is incredibly invested in your success and satisfaction, making Moose Management the “Best in Class” property manager for Park City short-term rentals.

Besides the highlights mentioned here, there are so many more ways that we work to provide you with peace of mind and a healthy bottom line. Contact us for more info on our Moose Management property management program— we’d love to hear from you!

Our 3 Favorite Spots to Ski in Park City

Park City, Utah is known for a lot of things. Beautiful scenery, delicious dining, an idyllic, historic downtown, gorgeous hiking trails— and of course, skiing!

There’s a reason that the 2002 Winter Olympics were held here, and it has a lot to do with the endless inventory of ski trails and the perfection of the powder that we’re blessed with every winter.

With over 10,000 skiable acres— including the largest ski resort in the US (Park City Mountain)— and runs for every age and skill level, there’s a trail for everyone to ski in Park City, Utah.

Here are our three favorite spots to get your glide on, in no particular order.

Canyons Village

When you arrive in Park City from the Salt Lake City, Utah airport, this welcoming and laid-back ski resort is the first base area you come to. With lots of ski shops and schools in the courtyard, Canyons Village is your all-in-one shop for all you need to hit the slopes— with lots of style and confidence.

There’s also the Orange Bubble Express— an enclosed, fully heated chairlift that you have to take for a spin while you’re here. You’ll also want to grab some lunch or dinner at The Farm, the award-winning restaurant in Canyons Village that only serves the freshest farm-to-table fare.

Visit their website to learn more and to make reservations.

Deer Valley Resort

Deer Valley is famous for its exceptional customer service— and you’ll notice it from the moment you arrive. From the delightful barista brewing your pre-ski cup of joe to the friendly ski valets and lift attendants, Deer Valley is such a lovely place to spend the day.

They also boast a more extensive inventory of beginner terrain than other Park City ski resorts, so if you’re new to skiing and snowboarding you’re sure to feel right at home. Then when you’ve improved to expert level— there are black diamond runs to try as well.

Deer Valley Resort has always limited the number of ski passes they sell so that their slopes are never too crowded. So you’ll want to visit their website to purchase your passes and ski rentals.

Park City Mountain

If you’re a snowboarder, fewer spots can match the epic terrain at Park City Mountain. With dozens of pipes and half-pipes, you’ll find a jaw-dropping array of freestyle terrain to try out.

And if you’re looking for more classic ski runs, Park City Mountain has some of the best slopes and moguls in the world. The sheer variety of options is endless— so everyone in your group, from experts to amateurs, will have a great time.

Check out their website for more information and to make reservations.

Christmas Family Fun in Park City

Park City is already a picturesque winter wonderland. Surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks and evergreen trees, our charming and inviting town— already named one of the top ten small towns to visit during the holidays— is the ideal spot to bring your family to make magical Christmas memories.

Here are a few things we’re looking forward to this year.

Sledding Shenanigans

Sure, we’re famous for our world-class ski slopes. But if you’re coming to Park City for the holidays, you MUST spend an afternoon sledding. It’s the ultimate family-friendly activity that will have everyone in your crew laughing and smiling as you glide down the hill.

Some of our favorite spots to sled are at the Park City Ice Rink and the hill behind the middle school. There are plenty of options for purchasing affordable sleds— including local sporting goods stores. Give us a call and we can help you locate a sled.

For a more formal sledding experience— including comfy inflatable innertubes and the convenience of being towed back up the hill— head over to Soldier Hollow in Midway, about a 20-minute drive away. Reservations are recommended and tubing is available in 2-hour sessions. Click here to learn more.

Ice Skating Escapades

Ice skating in Park City

Another winter activity that’s ideal for holiday family fun is ice skating— and Park City has plenty of rink space to choose from. There’s the Park City Ice Arena an indoor rink with lots of afternoon ice times to choose from for public skating.

And for a fun outdoor adventure, head over to the Resort Center Ice Skating Rink, Park City’s only outdoor rink located at the base of Park City Mountain Resort. Surrounded by lighted Christmas trees, this rink truly captures the festive holiday spirit.

Riding the North Pole Express

Always a family-favorite holiday activity, the Heber Valley Express Railroad welcomes you aboard the North Pole Express for a 90-minute trip to see Santa Claus. Sing Christmas carols with the elves as you sip on hot cocoa and nibble on sugar cookies. It’s holiday fun for kids of all ages.

The North Pole Express runs until December 23, so make sure to hop aboard soon.

A Perfect Park City Thanksgiving

There’s so much to be thankful for this year, and nowhere is that more apparent than in Park City. As the rest of the country starts to hunker down and prepare for winter, Park City begins opening up and spreading more magic than ever before.

From spectacular early-winter skiing to some truly delicious spots to enjoy an unforgettable Thanksgiving dinner, Park City is a great spot to get your 2021/2022 winter season started off right— with food, family, and endless amounts of winter fun.

The Mountain is Now Open

As far as Park City residents are concerned, winter basically begins on November 19th. Why is that? Well, that’s when the world-class, largest ski resort in the United States, Park City Mountain Resort, opens its doors— and slopes. With tons of trails for every level of expertise— as well as terrain parks for snowboarding enthusiasts— Park City Mountain Resort is an epic ski-lovers paradise.

Take a Serene Sleigh Ride Through the Snow

At Snowed Inn Sleigh Company, you can hop aboard a horse-drawn carriage and snuggle up under a warm blanket for an unforgettable ride through the mountain trails. They even have a tour that will take you to dinner and some live music at their western-style lodge. Perfect for a romantic evening out or a memorable family adventure, a sleigh ride is a perfect way to kick off your winter season.

Reserve Your Spot for an Award-Winning Dinner

At Moose Management, we have plenty of homes that include gorgeous, full-size kitchens for preparing your 2021 Thanksgiving meal in your home-away-from-home. But if you prefer to leave the cooking to the pros, we have some personal favorite places you’ll want to try.

With a focus on fresh, local ingredients and seasonal menus, Glitretind is a gorgeous Park City restaurant with a mouthwatering menu. We’re also huge fans of renowned chef Bill White’s family of restaurants— including Grappa, an intimate Italian restaurant, and Chimayo, an upscale Southwestern eatery. Reservations— particularly for Thanksgiving dinner— are highly recommended.

Start Your Holiday Shopping in Historic Downtown

Park City is famous for its spectacular skiing and snowboarding, but our historic downtown has a lot of fans, too. Boasting a scenic Main Street and plenty of places to stop in for hot cocoa on a chilly day, this is the perfect place to start making a dent in your 2021 holiday shopping list. Take a peek inside stores like Barclay Butera for beautiful home designs, or Flight Boutique for fashion.

3 Best Places for a Cocktail in Park City

We’ll admit, Utah, in general, isn’t exactly known for its exciting bar scene. In fact, most establishments are allowed to only offer beers on tap that have up to 5% alcohol by volume. But despite some stringent guidelines, there’s still something for everyone to enjoy a few libations in Park City— including fun pubs, fancy craft cocktail saloons, and rowdy sports bars.

Here’s our pick for the three best places to catch a buzz in Park City.

No Name Saloon Bar & Grill- 447 Main Street

On many lists as the best bar in Park City, No Name Saloon is our first choice for not only a fantastic cocktail or two— but some delicious dining, too. We especially love their Bourbon Old Fashioneds and Gin Basil Smashes. This fall, you’ll want to sip on one of their Alpine Hot Toddies— with spiced whiskey, lemon, and honey. Yuummm. No Name also offers an impressive wine list and tons of beers on tap or in bottles.

If you’re feeling a little hungry, help yourself to their Loaded Tater Tots, Saloon Burger, or Fish Tacos. Keep in mind that the saloon side of No Name is strictly for 21 and over clientele, but they have a family-friendly side called Annex Burger right next door that welcomes the kiddos.

O.P. Rockwell – 268 Main Street

If live music is your thing, you’ll want to set aside an evening or two and spend some quality time at O.P Rockwell— an awesome cocktail lounge and music hall. Named after an infamous Wild West figure, they have an ever-revolving roster of interesting craft cocktails— like their refreshing Moscow Mules— as well as a dynamic roster of extraordinary local and non-local musical talent. You can also order a beer or a glass of wine while you enjoy the show, too.

Downstairs- 625 Main Street

For a true night on the town feel, put on your dancing shoes and head downtown to Downstairs— a gorgeous nightclub that plays music to make you move. They boast that they feature some of the best DJs in the country and offer an “immersive experience” that includes lighting shows. This is the perfect spot for a girl’s night out or bachelor/bachelorette parties, too. They encourage big groups to call ahead and plan their memorable night out with help from the staff. Boogie down, baby!

Don’t forget— even though the alcohol content might not be as high as other parts of the country, the elevation of Park City makes the drinks feel just as strong. A “normal” drink at 7,000 feet will hit you a lot more quickly than it would at sea level. So keep that in mind as you explore the pub scene in Park City and be safe.

To plan your next getaway to Park City, take a closer look at our impressive inventory of local rental homes and condos. As always, if you have any questions or would like to talk with our knowledgeable local staff about their personal favorites places, please give us a call or send us a message.

Cheers!
